News you could use in the moment
Spring Edition 2021
Cultivate presence.
Practice awareness.
Next time you're on a break, look around you and just notice. What do you...
1 - see
2 - hear
3 - taste
4 - touch
5 - smell
Get really specific. Grab pen and paper or take notes on your phone. Write as much detail as possible to describe where you are right now.

Practice self love & self worth
As you step out of the shower, or brush your teeth in the morning, stand in the front of the mirror. Look at yourself in the eyes and say "I love and accept you just the way you are."
Breathe in gratitude
Remind yourself to breathe and you'll kickstart the parasympathetic nervous system.
Inhale gratitude down into your belly. Feel the tension leave your body as you exhale.
Ready for a meditation, listen to this body scan meditation by Dr. Nisha J. Kumar, ND.

Healing Haiku
Get a pen and paper. Observe something in your surrounding that makes you feel good or makes you smile. Permission to have fun granted!
Write your observation, maybe it's something funny, in the form a poem like a haiku which has 5 syllables, followed by 7 syllables and ends with another 5 syllables.
Alternatively, listen to a healing meditation from Leslee Kagan, MS, FNP-BC
